Charitable Contributions and Noncompetitive Grant Awards
Previously, The Foundation made the following awards to support the continuing education of deserving college students studying mathematics or the sciences:

  • The John and Elizabeth Leonard Undergraduate Scholarship Program at California State University, Long Beach;
  • The University of California, Riverside Regents Scholarship Program.

Currently, The Foundation supports:

  • The Freshman Scholars Summer  Research Program in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of California, Riverside
  • A cancer screening and treatment program in Rwanda managed by Partners in Health
  • Programs supporting basic science and translational medicine managed by the American Association for Cancer Research and the Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists;
  • New investigator start-up funds for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the California State University, Long Beach;
  • A food access, shelter and security programs managed for homeless and disadvantaged persons in our community by the Community Resource Center; and,
  • An environmental remediation program for the San Elijo Lagoon managed by the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy.
